Public Health Surveillance Program

Council responds to a range of public health issues, including food surveillance, cooling towers, on site sewage management, immunisation, skin penetration and asbestos issues.  Businesses or properties that carry out these activities are regularly inspected by Council’s Environmental Health Officers to ensure they comply with the relevant legislation.  Council operates a number of programs to ensure all businesses and properties are aware and comply with their legislative responsibilities.
