Worm Farming and Composting workshop

Learn how to set up your organic recycling system to turn food scraps and garden 'waste' into fantastic fertiliser and soil conditioner for your garden.

We will teach you the basics how you can get started with compost worms at home and give you tricks on keeping your compost bin healthy.

For attending this workshop, you will learn the basics on composting and worm farming, and you will receive a kitchen caddy bin for transporting your scraps to your compost bin, which will be delivered to your door soon after attending the workshop.


This is a FREE workshop for Blacktown Council residents only.

For safety reasons and the comfort of our attendees, children under the age of 16 are not permitted at this workshop.

What to bring:

  • Pen
  • Note pad
  • Hat
  • Sun cream
  • Water bottle / drink

These workshop are often held in outdoor locations in our community gardens.  Seating can be limited and the event may be cancelled in the event of adverse weather.
