Animal Holding Facility

Blacktown City Council’s Animal Holding Facility is currently experiencing an outbreak of feline parvovirus (panleukopenia).

The RSPCA and AWL (Animal Welfare League) have also experienced outbreaks of panleukopenia in recent weeks.

We strongly advise customers NOT to bring stray or owned cats to our facility until further notice.

All cat adoptions and rescues of cats at the facility are on hold until the outbreak is under control.

We apologise for any inconvenience.
