Significant Tree Register

Since 1985 Blacktown City Council has maintained a 'register' of significant trees and vegetation that were known to enhance the City's rich environmental and cultural heritage.

Blacktown City Council's 'Register of Significant Trees and Vegetation' works in conjunction with State and Commonwealth legislation and existing planning controls to conserve trees and vegetation of heritage value.

The Register of Significant Trees and Vegetation establishes a management framework that enables Council and the community to identify, conserve and manage significant trees and vegetation in the long term and for the benefit of future generations.
