Expression of Interest - Building Contractor Major Project

Expressions of Interest are invited from suitably qualified building companies with demonstrated high level of experience in construction of traditional Chinese buildings to be considered for inclusion on a select tender list for the construction of the proposed Chinese Garden in Nurragingy Reserve, Doonside. The facilities required to be constructed are in accordance with Chinese Changlai Garden concept which comprise of 3 structures of timber and tile and a bridge as follows:
- Gateway structure
- Waterfall Pavilion
- Covered walkway
- Stone Bridge
The proposal will further include selective landscaping that will enhance the traditional Chinese garden style.
Contractors submitting an Expression of Interest should include the following essential information detailing:
- experience in building projects of similar nature;
- experience in building projects in excess of $ 3 Million
- details of major projects achieved on time and within budget;
- client and consultant references to substantiate above;
- occupational health and safety policy / record;
- details demonstrating a financial ability to undertake a project in excess of $3million; and
- company profile and structure.
The above criteria will be used in determining successful candidates for the select tender list for the project. Consequently each criteria should be addressed individually.
Additionally, interested parties should note that companies being considered for short listing will be required to undergo financial assessment by Council's nominated assessor, at their expense.

Applications, in strict conformity with the requirements, must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed 'Expression of Interest - Proposed Chinese Garden at Nurragingy Reserve - Building Contractor'.
Applications should be placed in the Tender Box on the ground floor of the Civic Centre, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown.
Closing date for submissions is 12 noon, Wednesday 13th July, 2011.
Late submissions will not be considered.
Council reserves the right of refusal to accept any or all submissions.
