Expression of Interest – Mount Druitt Hub Cafe

Expressions of Interest are invited from a suitable incorporated not-for profit community association to lease the Mount Druitt Hub Cafe with the aim to operate the cafe as a social enterprise that delivers job training and social inclusion outcomes.
The Mount Druitt Hub (MDH) is currently under construction and will provide improved community facilities for the Mount Druitt and surrounding communities. It is anticipated that the MDH will be open in November 2011. Included within the MDH is a cafe on the ground floor which serves into the front foyer of the MDH and into the Library. The obligations for employment training, small business development and social entrepreneurial resourcing are a primary consideration for the lease of the MDH Cafe.
Applicants submitting an Expression of Interest should include the following essential information detailing:
- Demonstrated experience in similar projects/supply similar service;
- Skills and experience of key personnel;
- Respondent's resources; and
- A demonstrated understanding of the required specifications and scope of works.
The above criteria will be used in determining successful candidates and applicants will need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) using Blacktown City Council's EOI Form - EOI-MDH Cafe 2011.

Applications, in strict conformity with the requirements, must be submitted, addressed and/or titled 'Expression of Interest - The Mount Druitt Hub - Cafe.
Applications should be:
(a) Submitted by hand to the Tender Box of Blacktown City Council, located on the Ground Floor of the Civic Centre at 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown or
(b) Sent through the mail addressed to The Tender Box, Blacktown City Council, PO Box 63, Blacktown 2148 or
(c) Electronic mail Submissions will be accepted if marked as received by the deadline sent to council@blacktown.nsw.gov.au. Electronic EOI must be clearly endorsed with the EOI number EOI MDH Café 2011 and titled as shown on the front cover within the subject line, be numbered consecutively and include an index.
(d) Facsimile mail Submissions will not be accepted.
Closing date for submissions is 12 noon, Wednesday 21 September, 2011.
Late submissions will not be considered.
Council reserves the right of refusal to accept any or all submissions.
