Construction of the Café and Community Garden Building Blacktown Showground.

CONTRACT No. 31/2011.

Tenders are invited, from licensed building contractors, for the construction of the Cafe and Community Garden Building at Blacktown Showground.


The proposed works include construction of;

1. Café building

2. Community Garden Building

3. Pump room

Tenders will be assessed on the basis of;

  • competitive tender price
  • previous experience in Café buildings of a similar scale and nature
  • demonstrated financial ability to undertake a project in excess of $1.5 million
  • quality of performance on recent projects supported by two client/consultant referees
  • demonstrated ability to complete the project within time and budget and
  • ability to commence work by late February 2011

Plans and specification are available for the sum of $335.00 - incl. GST (non-refundable) from the Customer Service Counter, Ground Floor, Council Administration Centre, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown on Monday the 21st November 2011.

The closing date for acceptance of tenders will be 12 noon on Wednesday, 14th December 2011.

Formal tender documents shall be signed and placed in a sealed envelope, addressed "Tender the construction of the "Café and Community Garden Building At Blacktown Showground- Contract 31/2011" and placed in the Tender Box on the Ground Floor of the Administration Centre by the above stated time and date. Late tenders will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Tenderers and interested parties are invited to the opening of tenders, which will occur immediately after the tender closing time in the Ground Floor Foyer.

Council reserves the right to refuse any or all Tenders.
