Design, fabrication and installation of public art work/s, for the North West T-way, project, at Balmoral St and Richmond Rd, Blacktown - Reserve 854.

CONTRACT No. 19/2011

Tenders are invited from experienced public artists to design, fabricate and construct public art work(s) as part of the North West T-way project at Balmoral Street and Richmond Road Blacktown (Reserve 854) that reflect aspects of Blacktown's culture, community or environment. Areas for investigation that inform the themes of the artwork could include the Blacktown Showground's social, historical or geographical history or references to its future re-development.

Plans and specifications are available from the Customer Service Counter, Ground Floor, Council Administration Centre, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown on Tuesday 13th September 2011 and can be downloaded from the WSROC website at www.tenders.nsw.gov.au

The closing date for acceptance of tenders will be 12 noon on Wednesday, 5 October 2011

Formal tender documents shall be signed and placed in a sealed envelope, addressed "Tender the Design Fabrication and Installation of (a) public art work(s) at North West T-way, Balmoral and Richmond Rd's Blacktown Reserve 854 - Contract 19/2011 "and placed in the Tender Box on the Ground Floor of the Administration Centre by the above stated time and date. Late tenders will not be accepted under any circumstances.

It should also be noted that a site inspection has been arranged for 19 September 2011 at 1 pm

Tenderers and interested parties are invited to the opening of tenders, which will occur immediately after the tender closing time in the Ground Floor Foyer.

Council reserves the right to refuse any or all Tenders.
