EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TENDER FOR THE SERVICE AND SUPPLY OF NEW AND RETREAD TYRES

CONTRACT NO. 4/2012

Expressions of Interest are requested for Tyre Suppliers to participate in a "Tyre Trial". This trial will be a pre cursor to a "Tender for the Service and Supply of New and Retread Tyres" for Blacktown City Council's plant and vehicle fleet. To be eligible to participate in the Tyre Tender - Tyre Suppliers must be a large reputable tyre supplier and partake fully in the Tyre Trial.

It is expected that nominated supplier's will supply and fit a specified set of tyres to a 6 x 4 Garbage truck (2 x front new and 8 x rear retreads). The trial will be conducted over a six-week period. Weekly wear patterns will be noted and monitored by supplier and council staff, measurements will include reference to safety, performance and cost per kilometre.
