Dr Charles McKay Reserve

Dr Charles McKay Reserve is located between George St and Rupertswood Rd, Mt Druitt. It sits high on top of a ridge, offering views west to the Blue Mountains and east to Blacktown.

A significant stand of Cumberland Plain Woodland vegetation is found within the reserve, with Grey Box and Narrow-leaf Ironbark dominating the site. The shrub layer includes Grevillea juniperina, Pultenaea microphylla, Indigofera australis and Dillwynia juniperina. Ground covers include Goodenia hederacea, Hardenbergia violacea, and Themeda australis. At the southern end of the reserve is an area of Grey Box open forest and an area of open grassland. The shrub layer here is dominated by Blackthorn (Bursaria spinosa).
