Duncan Park
Duncan Park is located between Superior Ave and Australorpe Ave, Seven Hills.
The Alluvial Woodland and open space areas of Duncan Park.
There are remnant patches of Shale Plains Woodland found throughout the park, as well as Alluvial Woodland along the creekline. Older Eucalypts and Casuarinas are scattered through the reserve. The understorey of the woodland areas contains natives such as Daviesia ulicifolia, Einadia hastata and Juncus usitatus. This reserve is a popular local park, and the vegetation is vulnerable to overuse.
Fenced off "no mow" zones allow for regneration to occur
In 1997 a Bushcare Group began working in the reserve carrying out bush regeneration activities. Their work includes:
- Planting of native species
- Weeding
- The creation of 'No Mow' areas
- Participating in National Campaigns, such as 'Clean Up Australia Day' and 'National Tree Day'
