Aerosol Art

In addition to Council's Graffiti Removal programs, a number of innovative preventative projects have been initiated that include aerosol art murals and skill development workshops.

The aim of preventative projects is to encourage young people to participate in legal aerosol art and develop their artistic skills while informing them of the damage caused by illegal graffiti. Successful initiatives have included the Graffiti Traineeship Program, the Keep it Street Aerosol Art Exhibition, and the Electric Art Project.

Council encourages young people to become involved in legal Aerosol Art projects. Some excellent examples of Aerosol Art can be found at Lalor Park shops, Riverstone Youth Centre, and Willmot shops.

To get involved in legal aerosol art, please contact Council's Community Enhancement Officers on 9839 6000.
