SOS Winners

Supporters of Sustainability Win

Thank you to all households who signed up to participate in the Supporters of Sustainability (SOS) Challenge. The SOS Challenge is a Blacktown City Council initiative that assists residents to reduce their impact on the environment, by making a few small changes in their home and everyday lives.

Households which signed up to participate in the program in stage 1 went into the draw to win a range of prizes including an organic fruit and vegetable box, compost bin, worm farm, Wollomi Pine or family pass to Featherdale Wildlife Park. Council would like to congratulate all winners.

Stage 2 of the program involves residents turning their commitment into action. For each challenge completed, participants go into the monthly draw to win either an energy efficient fridge, water efficient washing machine, eco holiday or a supply of organic fruit and vegetables.

SOS Winners - Stage 2

Congratulations to;

• The Smith Family of Blacktown for completing challenges to reduce waste and get involved. The Smith family selected the energy efficient fridge.
• The Mills Family of Quakers Hill for completing challenges to reduce energy and water usage. The Mills family selected the supply of organic fruit and vegetables.
