Watch the giant Christmas tree turn its lights on for the very first time in 2009! Bring the family out for a fantastic evening of live carol performances, balloon sculpting and a special visit by Santa and Humphrey B Bear.

Lady Mayoress Christmas Gift Appeal

Lady Mayoress, Mrs Alma Saga - Lowles is seeking support of the local community to donate gifts for those less fortunate in Blacktown City. Gifts will be distributed to those less fortunate by charities, The Smith Family and St Vincent De Paul. Gift suggestions include; children's toys, books, clothing and non-perishable foods.

Please leave your gift unwrapped or place in a gift bag and drop at one of the collection points:

• Blacktown City Council, Civic Centre Foyer, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown (opposite Blacktown City's Max Webber Library)
  
  
• At any of Council's Child Care Centres or
  
  
• Customer Service Desk, Level 3, Westpoint Blacktown.

Gift collections will close on Friday, December 11, 2009
