Fridge Buyback off to a great start
Blacktown City Council residents who have participated in the Fridge Buyback program are enjoying combined savings of over $106,000 in electricity costs and have helped save 664 tonnes of greenhouse gases.
We encourage residents wanting to hand in their working second fridge to call Fridge Buyback on 1800 708 401. Your fridge will be collected by experienced removalists. You may be eligible to receive a $35 rebate and you will save an average of $190 per year on your electricity bill and approximately eight tonnes of greenhouse emissions. The fridge will be properly degassed and the metals recycled.
Fridge Buyback accepts working second fridges that are 250 litres or more in size and 10 or more years old.
