Help protect our natural environment at Tregear Reserve

Blacktown City Council organises bushcare groups and programs that help to protect your natural environment. Bushcare groups involve local residents that have an interest in the local environment and enjoy the outdoors, working with other like-minded people in the community to improve local bushland reserves. Local bushcare groups meet monthly and complete bush regeneration activities such as planting locally native plants, removing weeds and improving the natural surroundings.

New volunteers are always needed and are encouraged to join. No experience is necessary, all you need is a passion for our environment and to turn up!

All Bushcare groups in Blacktown City are supported by Council through the provision of bush regeneration training, supervision, plants, tools, technical advice and information on grants and other special projects. Volunteers generally work for 3 hours, one weekend a month.

For more information on meeting places and times contact Council's Bushcare Team on 9839 6000.
