Blacktown City Council is seeking quality arts and craft makers to participate in My Lords & Ladies Medieval Fayre - the official opening event for the 2007 Blacktown City Festival at Nurragingy Reserve, (Knox Road, Doonside) taking place Saturday 26 and Sunday 27, May 2007 weekend.

Tertiary scholarships valued at $1,500 each were awarded to 11 Blacktown City residents who achieved outstanding academic performance in 2006, it was announced at Blacktown City Council’s meeting last night, Wednesday, March 28, 2007.

Following 12 months of reconstruction, Blacktown Arts Centre will officially open to the public on Saturday 21 April when a Community Open Day will launch the exhibitions and feature a range of local music performances and workshops for visitors to take part in.
