Quality Arts and Craft stalls needed - 26 & 27 May, 2007
Blacktown City Council is seeking quality arts and craft makers to participate in
My Lords & Ladies Medieval Fayre - the official opening event for the 2007 Blacktown City Festival at Nurragingy Reserve, (Knox Road, Doonside) taking place Saturday 26 and Sunday 27, May 2007 weekend.
This special event will feature everything Medieval, including a traditional medieval village with performers, musicians, characters, knights in armour and a range of other attractions.
Part of the village will include a traditional marketplace, with stalls available for persons who make quality, hand-made arts and crafts, metalwork, woodwork, pottery and unique gifts. There are also limited opportunities for food stalls, but places are extremely limited.
Council's organisers are expecting a bumper crowd to attend this year. Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Leo Kelly, OAM is excited about the Medieval Fayre; "In the past, these events have attracted in excess of 10,000 people. It is a terrific opportunity for families to enjoy a great day out and best of all, it has been created especially for Blacktown City residents. Parking is close by and entry is free, making it a popular choice for everyone", he said.
Stall applications for the Medieval Fayre are available from Council by calling 9839 6166. Applications for stall holders close on Friday, May 11, 2007.
