Alcohol Free - Family Friendly event

Blacktown City Council's FREE alcohol-free, family friendly Australia Day celebrations from 3pm on The Rooty Hill (Eastern Road, Rooty Hill) are drawing nearer and the line up of performing artists seems to be growing bigger and better!

Local singer/ songwriter Johanna Hemara is the latest performer announced for the celebrations on Wednesday, January 26.

Performing on the day at 5.30pm and 6.45pm, Johanna is an emerging songstress known for her phenomenal voice, singing from a range of genres and music styles including country music songs, ballads, rock anthems and yodelling.

The talented young woman started singing from a young age with her parents in variety shows and will sing her heart warming track - Little Tiger (A Song for Lleyton) at the Australia Day celebrations.

Penned with Tamara Stewart in honour of terminally ill five-year-old western Sydney boy Lleyton Giles, the song tugs at the heart-strings and once again shows another facet of Johanna's amazing vocal ability.

Johanna will be selling and signing copies of the single on Australia Day with all funds going to Lleyton Giles.

As well as performers, The Rooty Hill will also receive a visit from first grade Rugby League players, Sandor Earl and Luke Walsh from the Penrith Panthers Rugby League Club.

The pair will conduct activities and NRL workshops for kids to take part in between 4pm - 5.30pm on the day.
