Sponsorship Information Evening - 6.30pm, Wednesday, September 30
National Youth Week will be held from April 10 - 18, 2010 and Blacktown City is gearing up for a huge week of activities especially designed to engage, entertain and bring out the best in local young people.
Local businesses and organisations also have the opportunity to be part of this nation-wide initiative by sponsoring Blacktown City's National Youth Week activities. A special Sponsorship Information Evening organised by Terra Sancta High School, in partnership with BREED and Council will be held next Wednesday, September 30 between 6.30pm - 8.30pm at the Max Webber Library, corner Alpha Street and Flushcombe Road, Blacktown for interested supporters.
The evening will feature live music performances, the launch of the short film 'National Youth Week, Blacktown City 2009' produced by the students of Rooty Hill High School, which films the artists, film makers, coordinators and volunteers who worked together to turn young people's ideas into reality during the 2009 celebrations.
On the night, there will also be over 100 local businesses and volunteers available to network with.
Blacktown City has one of the largest youth populations in New South Wales with just over 25 percent of the 300,000 population under the age of 25 years.
Blacktown City's highlight event for National Youth Week 2010 will be The Burbs Festival on April 18 at Blacktown Showground. The Festival will feature; three stages of live music, a circus sideshows, free workshops, food and youth information stalls, a 30 metre aerosol art wall, skate ramps, games, competitions, freebies and more.
