Blacktown City Libraries Members Competition winner announced
The winner of Blacktown City Libraries Members Competition was announced today by the Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Leo Kelly, OAM as 8 year old, Connor Abnett of Seven Hills
As the winner, Connor will take home a basket full of books, CDs and DVDs.
"Congratulations Connor, this is a fantastic prize and to have won by simply coming along to our City's Festival opening celebrations is great", Mayor Kelly said.
The Blacktown City Libraries Members Competition was part of the Library's information stall at the opening event of the 2008 Blacktown City Festival; Gun Powder, Fire Power at Nurragingy Reserve in May. Visitors to the stall were able to join up to the Blacktown City Library Service or show their current membership card to enter the draw, over 122 visitors entered the draw including 21 new members.
The Blacktown City Library Service is open to people of all ages and is FREE to anyone who lives in the Sydney Metropolitan Area, including Blue Mountains and Central Coast.
As a Library member you will have access to a wide range of activities and resources available through Blacktown City's four branch libraries at Lalor Park, Blacktown, Mount Druitt and Riverstone.
To JOIN, you will need to fill out an application form and provide identification and proof of address. Children under 18 years old must have a parent, guardian or guarantor accompany them to the library to sign the application form.
