2009 Lady Mayoress Christmas Gift Appeal
Donations accepted up until 4.30pm, Friday, December 11, 2009

Lady Mayoress, Alma Saga-Lowles is calling on local businesses, community groups and residents to donate gifts to the 2009 Lady Mayoress Christmas Gift Appeal for distribution to those less fortunate in Blacktown City.

The chosen charities for the 2009 Appeal are The Smith Family and St Vincent De Paul who will distribute all donations across Blacktown City.

The Smith Family is an independent non-profit organisation which aims to help disadvantaged children.

St Vincent De Paul provides support and material help to people in crisis and less fortunate.

"The Appeal is an opportunity for our community to come together and reflect on Blacktown City's great community spirit," Lady Mayoress Saga-Lowles said.

Mayoress Saga-Lowles will hand over the gifts to The Smith Family and St Vincent De Paul at an Official Gift Handover in December.

Gift suggestions include toys, books, clothing and non-perishable goods. Please leave gifts unwrapped or place in a gift bag for ease of distribution.

Gifts donated to Lady Mayoress Christmas Appeal can be left under the Christmas Tree in Council's Administrative Building (62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown) or at any of Council's Child Care Centres or the Customer Service Desk on Level 3 of Westpoint Blacktown. Gifts will be accepted up until 4.30pm, December 11, 2009
