Learn how to reduce your impact on the environment
Would you like to reduce your impact on the environment? It's easier than you think, thanks to Blacktown City Council's sustainable living workshops.
Council continues its popular Sustainable Living Workshop Series in Spring 2008 with an improved program that aims to engage residents about learning how to minimise their impact on the environment.
There are a variety of Sustainable Living Workshops for residents to choose from. Come to one or come to all, the choice is yours.
The workshops cover a range of topics such as, finding new ways to lighten your 'eco footprint', learning how to make your own natural household cleaning alternatives, how to create your own worm farm and compost at home and how to build a simple no-dig garden.
This Spring, Council is offering the following workshops:
- Worm Farming & Composting
Tuesday 9 September, 10am-12pm
Nirimba Room, Level 5, Blacktown Civic Centre
- No-Dig Gardening
Saturday 25 October, 10am-1pm
Bidwill Community garden, Chestnut Crescent, Bidwill
- Sustainable Living
Saturday 1 November, 10am-12pm
Bidwill Community Garden, Chestnut Crescent, Bidwill
- Natural Cleaning
Monday 3 November, 6pm-8pm
Nirimba Room, Level 5, Blacktown Civic Centre
