Get involved in the Active Family Fun Day! Play Safety Simon Says and try not to get caught out. Compete and race fast in the family noodle races and relays. Exercise together in family aquarobics. Be part of a team in Rescue Tube Relay. Sing loud and proud in our Playstation©2 Singstar Competition.

These are just some of the many attractions that are on offer to entertain the whole family at Emerton Leisure Centre's upcoming Active Family Fun Day on Sunday, November 25, 2007 between 12pm - 2pm.

The Active Family Fun Day is an initiative of Royal Life Saving Society Australia (RLSSA) in partnership with Emerton Leisure Centre to encourage family participation in aquatic activities and promote the importance of water safety, to ensure everyone enjoys their time in the water.

Activities at the Active Family Fun Day are based on RLSSA's Swim and Survive program. Swim and Survive is conducted in 8,000 schools and 1,000 pools nationally including Emerton Leisure Centre's own Swim School program, and is designed to not only teach children to swim but also to develop invaluable survival skills and water fun.

The Active Family Fun Day is all about participation and having a great time in the water. RLSSA and Emerton Leisure Centre have prepared a great afternoon of activities for all ages on November 25, including; water safety and keep watch information sessions, water games and activities, a range of competitions including; the Rescue Tube Relay and the Playstation2 Singstar Competition.

There will also be numerous prizes on offer including a Sony Playstation 2, Sony DVDs, Royal Life Saving products and much more.

Normal entry charges will apply to the Active Family Fun Day; Adults $4.30, Child 5 - 9 years: $2.70, Child 10 - 17 years: $3.50, Concession $3.10
