Get rid of old paints, gas bottles, batteries, motor oils, pesticides and herbicides, pool and hobby chemicals and other selected chemicals for FREE

9.00am to 3.30pm - Sunday, October 18, 2009,
Blacktown City Council's Works Depot (Station Street, Rooty Hill)

Residents are encouraged to dispose of their household chemical clutter the right way during the Free Chemical CleanOut Day on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Blacktown City Council's Works Depot (Station Street, Rooty Hill) between 9.00am to 3.30pm.

Council is encouraging the community to take up its offer of disposing their unwanted/old chemicals in the correct way for FREE.

Residents simply need to take their old chemicals, paints gas bottles, batteries, motor oils, pesticides and herbicides, pool and hobby chemicals and other selected chemicals to the Depot between 9am and 3.30pm on Sunday, October 18, 2009.

Council also encourages residents to bring their used and/or broken bulbs and old car batteries to the Depot on the day as they should NOT be disposed in household bins.

The Free Chemical CleanOut Day is a joint initiative between Blacktown City Council and the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water to help ensure safer homes and a cleaner environment.
