Installation of Water Aerator at Refalo Reserve, Glenwood

Blacktown City Council has installed three Water Aerators in the ponds at Refalo Reserve, Glenwood to assist in improving the water quality, by increasing the oxygen content of the ponds.
Refalo Reserve consists of three main ponds that are linked, they have been fitted with aerators that will, improve the health of the ponds by increasing the oxygen content of the water.
"The addition of the aerators to Refalo Reserve will assist in improving the water quality of the ponds and will contribute to the environmental health of the reserve", Deputy Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Michelle Rowland said.
"Glenwood is still a growing area and parks and reserves like Refalo Reserve are essential to the local community as they are used for many different purposes by many different people".
"The addition of the aerators will help improve the overall environment and amenity of this reserve and I am proud of Council's ongoing commitment to its open space areas across the City", Deputy Mayor Rowland continued.
Refalo Reserve, Glenwood is located on Greenhill Drive and is ideal for picnics, walking and recreation activities.
