Celebrate 08 - A Blacktown City Festival event

Western Sydney's largest Environmental Expo is back and has teamed up with the Blacktown City Festival's Streets Alive Day on Saturday, May 31 in the Blacktown CBD.

The Environmental Expo is renown to many Blacktown City residents as a fun way to get information on how to reduce your impact on the environment and this year promises to be just that!

This year, residents can learn about living more sustainably and to access information and advice on how to reduce your impact on the environment.

There will be a range of stalls with information about energy and water reduction, biodiversity, permaculture, food sustainability, waste minimisation, community programs and more. Australian Wildlife Displays will have an exciting and informative show on stage so come along for an incredible 'hands on' experience!

There will also be activities for the kids, demonstrations and sustainability workshops on topics such as worm farming, and a native tree giveaway. What's more, there will be a number of giveaways including energy audits and worm farms!

Don't forget to collect a passport for the Sustainability Stomp - complete activities at a number of stalls and collect some great giveaways.

Also as part of the Environmental Expo, residents are encouraged to recycle their mobile phones, batteries and accessories through Mobile Muster.

The 2008 Environmental Expo is an event that you don't want to miss out on! So why not bring your family and friends and make a day of it, Saturday 31 May 2008, 9am - 4pm, Campbell Street,
Blacktown.
