From local entertainment to street stalls, food from around the globe and community displays, as part of the 2008 Blacktown City Festival, The Whalan May Fair, will take place at Waikanda Park, Whalan from 10am - 3pm on Sunday, May 25, 2008.
The popular community fair will return to Waikanda Park (Cnr Luxford and Waikanda Street, Whalan) with a great program of entertainment for the entire family to enjoy!
Whalan May Fair has been running since 2000 and is an event that highlights the wealth of cultural and artistic talents of the local community and its surrounding neighbours.
Throughout the day, there will be street stalls, arts and crafts, to exotic tastes that are bound to tingle the taste buds, and a variety of amusement rides to entertain the children and the young at heart.
"Whalan May Fair is a time of celebration, and an opportunity for residents of
Blacktown City to come together and share their pride and knowledge of cultural diversity through the performing arts", Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Leo Kelly,
OAM said.
