Mayor presents Youth Ambassadors with their Council Jackets

Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Leo Kelly, OAM has present Blacktown City Council's 2008 Youth Ambassadors, Amanda Xiberras and Monica Nour of Blacktown with their Council jackets.
Amanda and Monica are Year 11 students at Nagle Girls High School and where announced as Council's Youth Ambassadors in March 2008.
"The Council jackets will be worn by our Youth Ambassadors Amanda and Monica when they represent the Council throughout the year. The jackets are navy blue and feature Council's Coat of Arms", Mayor Kelly said.
Amanda and Monica have a very busy schedule ahead as they will attend a number of Civic Functions, present speeches at Citizenship Ceremonies and represent the youth of Blacktown at the Young Australian Sister Cities Conference in late September.
"I look forward to working with both Amanda and Monica over the coming year and I hope that, like previous youth ambassadors, they will find the experience rewarding and enjoyable," Mayor Kelly said.
