Blacktown City Council on Wednesday night, 17 June 2009, voted unanimously to join a growing number of Councils across New South Wales to not nominate any Councillor as Council Members on the Joint Regional Planning Panels (JRPPs) recently set up by the State Government and which can be convened to determine Development Applications in the City of Blacktown for certain classes of development nominated by the New South Wales Government.

Blacktown City Council at last night’s Ordinary Council Meeting (Wednesday, December 10) allocated the $2.4 million from the Federal Government as part of the Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Program (RLCIP), to 36 projects across the Blacktown City Local Government Area and resolved to apply for an additional $2 million of funding.
