Helping you find your way around Blacktown City

Getting around the City has been made easier thanks to Blacktown City Council's new Access and Mobility Maps of the Blacktown and Rooty Hill areas.

The maps include up to date and accurate information on access to key facilities, community services and transport as well as mobility information on kerbs and streets around the City Centre.

Council first developed the access and mobility maps in 1997 covering the Blacktown and Mount Druitt CBDs. In 1999, Council developed an additional 6 maps to cover a total of eight regional centres. The six additional maps included Doonside-Woodcroft, Mt Druitt Village, Quakers Hill-Marayong, Riverstone Schofields, Rooty Hill and Seven Hills.

"The Access and Mobility Maps are designed to make access to Blacktown City Centre and Rooty Hill Centre easy for everyone, including people with disabilities and parents of young children," Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Leo Kelly said.

"These Access and Mobility Maps provide information about street access, accessible services and facilities within the central shopping centre of Blacktown and Rooty Hill," Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Leo Kelly, OAM said.

"The new Access and Mobility Maps are a great initiative of Council in collaboration with the Access Advisory Subcommittee and demonstrates Council's and the Committee's dedication and forward planning of helping residents and visitors gain access around our City," Mayor Kelly said.

The FREE maps are available from Blacktown City Council, Blacktown Visitor Information & Heritage Centre, Local Library Branches or Community, Neighbourhood and Senior Citizen Centres.
