The performance will form part of the Sydney Symphony's Discovery Concerts and will be performed by Sydney Sinfonia - the Sydney Symphony's mentoring orchestra which comprises Australia's elite young musicians working alongside Sydney Symphony members.

According to Sydney Symphony Education Program Artistic Director, Richard Gill, the popularity of the Discovery Concerts demonstrates the desire audiences have for a deeper understanding of classical music.

"2007 represents my 15th year at the helm of the Sydney Symphony's Education Program and I am so proud that in this special year for me we can again offer the Discovery concerts to Sydney audiences as a vehicle for them to learn more about classical music," says Gill.
