Fire Safety
Essential fire safety measures are any installations or type of construction that have been incorporated into the building to ensure the safety of the occupants within the building in the event of fire or other emergency. The forms below are examples of those that may be used to either provide certification that the measures have been appropriately designed and installed as part of your development process, or to provide an annual fire safety statement attesting to their ability to still function as intended at the time of their installation.
It is important to note that an Occupation Certificate for a building cannot be issued without a valid Fire Safety Certificate having been issued.

Civil Works Specification
The aim of these documents is to facilitate the efficient processing of engineering plan submissions, and to ensure that infrastructure associated with any development is designed and constructed to be safe, serviceable, economical to maintain and meets community expectations.
Applicants should be aware that each development will be treated on its merits, and that approval is dependant on the overall impact of the development and not solely on compliance with minimum engineering standards.
Should you have any enquiries regarding these documents, please contact Council's Development Engineers, or the Co-ordinator Engineering Approvals, Mr Robert Marshall, on telephone 9839 6000.
