Draft amendment to Blacktown Local Environmental Plan 1988

On 6 June 2007, Council resolved to prepare and exhibit a draft amendment to Blacktown Local Environmental Plan 1988, incorporating 12 minor amendments:

  • To rezone land at 122/124 Rooty Hill Road North, Plumpton, from Zone No. 5(a) Special Uses (Church) to zone No. 2(a) Residential; (  click here to view plan)
  • to rezone various lots on Luxford Road, Tongariro Terrace, Kidd Close, King Square, Macarthur Way from Zone No. 6(a) Public Recreation to Zone No. 2(a) Residential and to also reclassify Lot 44, DP 251473 from "Community" to "Operational"; (  click here to view plan)

Exhibition Dates: The draft LEP is being exhibited from Tuesday 26 August 2008 to Tuesday 23 September 2008. The draft plan can be viewed at Blacktown City Council Civic Centre, Ground Floor Foyer, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown, from 8.30am to 4.30pm. Alternatively, the draft plans can be viewed by selecting the relevant link above.

Council invites all interested parties to inspect the draft plans and provide feedback and comment. If you have any comments or questions please forward them to Council's Planning Development Services Unit by no later than 23 September 2008. You can forward your comments by:

In addition to the exhibition of the draft LEP, a Public Hearing into the proposed reclassification of Lot 44, DP251473, Tongariro Terrace, Bidwell is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 7 October 2008 at 2pm in Committee Room 3, level 5, Civic Centre, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing. Should you wish to attend please contact Council's Strategic Planner, Agnes Brejzek on 9839 6000 by Tuesday 2 October 2008. Submissions will not be heard unless Council has been notified of a person's intention to make a submission by this date.
