Family Day Care
Blacktown Family Day Care is committed to providing a service that meets the needs of the community by delivering a quality education and care program for children in a nurturing and caring home based environment.
Our registered educators are trained and committed child care workers and are dedicated to providing a child care service that meets the needs of your family. Blacktown Family Day Care offers care and education to children from the age of 6 weeks to 13 years.
Blacktown Family Day Care operates 52 weeks of the year and caters for the diverse needs of families. We do this by offering the following care options:
- Long day care
- Part-time care
- Casual care
- Emergency care
- Weekend care
- Overnight care
- Before and after school care
- Vacation care
Our education and care program is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (for children not yet attending school) and My Time, Our Place (for school aged children).
Educators provide care for up to 7 children each day - 5 children under school age and 2 children attending school (this includes their own children). Small group experiences allow children to develop close interactions with their educator and peers. Smaller groups also mean that your educator is able to regularly observe your child and program activities that will enhance their development.
The Blacktown Family Day Care Scheme is responsible for the provision of training, monitoring, resourcing and continual support of its network of educators. Regular playgroups are organised for educators and children, this gives children the opportunity to interact with a larger group of children and it also provides a network of support for the educators.
Blacktown Family Day Care is licensed by the Department of Education and Communities and all educators must comply with the Education and Care Services National Regulation 2011 and the Education and Care Services National Law.
Families are entitled to apply for the Child Care Benefit and the Child Care Rebate to assist with the payment of fees. This is administered through the Family Assistance Office.
