Long Day Care Centres
There are 21 Long Day Care Centres owned and managed by Blacktown City Council. All Centres provide quality care for children in a safe and secure environment.
Council's Long Day Care Centres offer both working and non-working parents up to eleven hours of care per day.
Individual programs are developed for each child that are challenging and appropriate to their stage of development and interests. We encourage children to think, feel, ask and explore as well as enhance their feelings of self-esteem and self worth.
Blacktown City Council employs qualified Early Childhood Teachers, Childcare Aides, Assistants and Cooks, to work in our Long Day Care Centres.
All meals are provided by the Centre, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late snack. Children with allergies and special diets are also catered for.
All Council's Long Day Care Centres have been accredited with the National Childcare Accreditation Council and comply with the Department of Community Services Childrens Services Regulation 2004.
