Friday 1st February, 2008 will mark the 5th Birthday Anniversary of the Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope.
Since opening its doors in 2003 the Centre, has had in excess of 4.5 million customers through the door, more than 430,000 learn to swim enrolments and over 9,000 Health and Fitness exercise classes have also been conducted.
There have been more than 41,000 stadium bookings and over 300 catering bookings the Centre has won 19 industry and community awards including the prestigious National Aquatic Centre Award.
To celebrate this landmark occasion the Centre is offering FREE AQUATICS AND FITNESS CENTRE ENTRY all weekend on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd February between 8am and 5pm.
A SURFSATIONAL 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTY on Saturday 2nd February between 12 and 4pm. will ensure that all who attend the Centre will be able to join in the party action with face painting, challenge yourself at the sports clinics, meet sports celebrities, cuddle up to a koala with Featherdale Wildlife Wanderer, climb the Mega Surfee pool inflatable, bounce on the jumping castle or just relax and enjoy the live entertainment.
The festivities will continue on Sunday 3rd February between 12 and 4pm with the ROYAL LIFESAVING SOCIETY ACTIVE FAMILY FUN DAY. Come and play Safety Simon Says, learn how to Rescue and Resuscitate, compete in Noodle Races and much more. There is also a Singstar™ Competition and great prizes.
