Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope Celebrates 5 Million Visitors

Local person Diana McPherson of Stanhope Gardens, made history on Wednesday 23rd July 2008 when she walked into Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope and became the award-wining Centre's 5 millionth visitor.
Diana was on her way to the 1st swimming lesson of the term with her four children, Aiden 10, Brianna 8, Annabelle 6, and Allanah 4 when it was announced that she was the lucky 5 millionth visitor.
As the milestone visitor, Diana receives a complimentary term of swimming lessons for each of her children, a 12-month gold membership to the gym for her and her husband, and "P1 Personal Training" sessions for each of them to get them started.
5 million visitors is just one of the many achievements celebrated by Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope since opening in 2003. The centre has received 20 community and industry awards with the most recent being the 2008 National Austswim Swim School of the Year.
Since opening its doors to the community five years ago, the Centre has had more than 500,000 learn to swim enrolments and has held over 11,000 Health and Fitness exercise classes.
