Aqua Natal Has Arrived

Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope, in partnership with Sydney West Area Health Service, are proud to introduce a new and unique program especially for expectant and new mums - AQUA NATAL!

The program is designed specifically for expectant mums from 16 weeks to birth through to new mums from 6 weeks onwards.The aqua based physical activity program is hosted by a qualified fitness leader - specially trained to manage exercise with pregnancy.

PROGRAM BENEFITS:

• Provide health and wellness both during pregnancy and following birth
• Maintain and improve fitness
• Improve women's posture and relieve possible strain on the back
• Build muscular strength and stamina
• Offer an exercise in water program minimising the risk of straining or injuring joints
• Weekly information sessions from health industry professionals on topics including infant first aid, nutrition, pelvic floor exercises and baby massage.
• Healthy morning tea / supper included.

PROGRAM BOOKINGS:

• The program runs concurrently with the School Term
• Missed sessions due to medical circumstances are not lost but 'banked' to be used at a later date**
• Morning classes are available every Monday and will start on Monday, 21st July 2008. Classes in the water will run from 10.30am to 11.30am (excluding public holidays) with an information session and complimentary morning tea to follow each class.
• Evening classes are available every Tuesday, commencing Tuesday, 22nd July 2008. The information sessions and complimentary supper will run from 6.00pm to 7.00pm (excluding public holidays) during weeks 1 to 3 and run from 6.30pm to 7.00pm during weeks 4 to 8. Classes in the water will run from 7.00pm to 8.00pm.
• The crèche is also available to participants for an additional charge should your other young children need looking after for a couple of hours.
