Please don't put syringes in your recycling or waste bins!

Syringes placed in the garbage and recycling bins may result in occupational health and safety problems for workers at waste and recycling centres.

To address this problem, Blacktown City Council, in conjunction with selected pharmacies, have introduced a safe needle disposal service for people with diabetes and other domestic users of lancets, syringes and pen needles.
