Our Strategic and Integrated planning framework

Council has a clear strategic and integrated planning framework that is led by Blacktown City 2025.

Future documents produced by Council and subsequent decisions made by Council will be tested against Blacktown City 2025 to ensure that Council is working towards the achievement of its Vision. In short, Blacktown City 2025 is Council's foundation document.

Blacktown City 2025 recognises that the City of Blacktown sits in a broader State context. Decisions Council makes are directly influenced by the State Government and, conversely, given the size and growth of our area, decisions made by Council will influence the State Government. Blacktown City 2025 has had close regard for and is consistent with the NSW State Plan - A New Direction for NSW.
