Blacktown City Social Plan 2007
The Blacktown City Social Plan 2007 is a plan for our whole City, developed in partnerships with the community, government departments and community organisations.
Council wishes to thank all those involved in the process, which has included extensive research, data collection, consultations and reviews.
The Plan provides a snapshot of our City's social situation now. It also plans by identifying the opportunities, facilities and services to assist local people achieve their full potential, and to enhance community spirit.
The Local Government (General) Amendment (Community and Social Plans) Regulation 1998 requires Councils to develop a Social/Community Plan in accordance with departmental guidelines.

The Blacktown City Social Plan 2007 was adopted by Council in July 2007. Council officers will now prepare, and present to Council for consideration, detailed Action Plans. These plans will be progressively presented in October and November 2007.
