8 million visitors in nine years walk through the doors of Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope!
The Council owned Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope celebrated its 8 millionth visitor recently.
Congratulations to Janelle Willock of Glenwood who was welcomed as the 8 millionth visitor on 30 March.
Janelle is a regular visitor to the facilities whether to borrow books or bring the kids to the wave pool.
The 8 millionth visitor is a remarkable milestone for the team at Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope. With a vast array of activity programs on offer and the wonderful Dennis Johnson Branch Library sharing the facilities, this facility is truly a great asset for the local community.
Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope is locate on the corner of Stanhope Parkway and Sentry Drive, Stanhope Gardens.
Entries are open for the Westlink M7 Cities Marathon
It is time for serious athletes in western Sydney to start training and register for the 2011 Westlink M7 Cities Marathon.
The marathon will be held on Sunday 31 July, starting at 7am in Liverpool and travelling along the Westlink M7 Shared Pathway to the finish line at Blacktown Olympic Park's Athletics Facility.
Entry into the Marathon is $80 per person (includes a Marathon t-shirt) and entrants must be over 18 years old. Entry forms, course maps and race information can be accessed on www.wm7citiesmarathon.com.au or by calling Council on 9839 6000.
There will also be a Marathon Relay Challenge and a Kids Marathon on the day.
