Blacktown City Festival is coming
The 2010 Blacktown City Festival is on its way and will be held from May 22 - 29 and will include a range of special events and performances for Blacktown City residents and visitors.
This year's theme is "It's Easy Being Green" which celebrates the International Year of Biodiversity, and will officially kick start with the popular My Lords & Ladies - Medieval Fayre over the May 22 - 23 weekend at Nurragingy Reserve. The reserve will transform into the middle ages complete with combat display, costumes and characters such as - kings, queens, knights and Jesters.
Throughout the rest of the week there will be a Seniors Big Day Out, Reconciliation Gathering Walk and Concert, Bush Poets, Whalan May Fair, the Blacktown City Fun Runs, Kids Environmental Workshop, a Let's Be Green Expo, comedy show and everyone's favourite festival day - Streets Alive Parade Day!

Anzac Day Public Holiday
Anzac Day is a time where we commemorate the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I. As we remember, Council will be closed on Monday, April 26.
