Wishing all residents a safe New Year break
On behalf of my fellow Councillors and the staff at Blacktown City Council, I wish all residents, friends and guests in Blacktown City a safe, happy and prosperous New Year.
2009 has been a year of great achievement for Blacktown City. Two major achievements include the opening of the Dennis Johnson Library and the completion of the $30 million construction at Blacktown Olympic Park - which has created a precinct for AFL and Cricket,
2010 is already gearing up to be another significant year in our City's growth with the expansion and continued development of major facilities and the introduction of new services.
Remember to drive carefully if you are travelling over the break, and if you are spending time at the beach and in the sun, remember to swim between the flags and Slip Slop Slap.
Mayor of Blacktown City,
Councillor Charlie Lowles
