Relay for Life this weekend at Blacktown International Sportspark
The Cancer Council's Blacktown City Relay for Life takes place this weekend, 10am Saturday, 29 October to 10am Sunday, October 30 at Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney's Athletics Centre on Eastern Road, Rooty Hill.
The weekend is FREE to participate in, with a variety entertainment and fundraising activities being held throughout the day and night. Even if you can't participate in the Relay, I encourage you to come down at 8pm to witness the heart warming candlelight ceremony and spectacular fireworks display to get a glimpse of what the event is truly about.
The event focuses on remembering and celebrating the lives of those who have been touched by cancer, while raising funds for cancer research, education and support services. The Relay for Life has been proven to be one of the best community fundraising events in Blacktown City.
I look forward to the community showing their support this weekend. It's still not too late to register a team or to get involved, for further information visit www.relayforlife.com.au/ or call 9354 2004.
