Celebrate Australia Day at The Rooty Hill!
Family Friendly - Alcohol Free
I would like to remind residents not to miss out on the Australia Day celebrations at The Rooty Hill this Wednesday, January 26, 2011.
This year, Council has declared its celebrations alcohol-free, reaffirming its Australia Day celebrations as a family fun day.
From 3pm (gates open at 2.30pm), Australia Day on The Rooty Hill will feature free amusement and pony rides, an amazing parachute jump with the largest flag in the Southern Hemisphere and blacksmith demonstrations.
There will also be performances by The Kamis, Beer N Skittles, New MacDonalds Farm - thanks to Showtime Attractions, Seattle Sound, Anthems of Oz and John Paul Young.
The night will conclude at 9.15pm with a firework spectacular presented by Integral Energy.
The Rooty Hill is a 10 minute walk from Rooty Hill Railway Station or can be accessed by car via Eastern Road, Rooty Hill. Limited parking is available.
For further information call Council on 9839 6000 or visit www.blacktown.nsw.gov.au.
