Community Spirit for Blacktown Fiesta

The community have come together to celebrate the very popular Blacktown Fiesta which kicked off last weekend with the 'My Lords and Ladies Medieval Fayre'.

There is still more fun and exciting events taking place until May 28 - and all are for free.

On Thursday 26 May, events include:

  • Sorry Day at the Village Green, Flushcombe Road, Blacktown at 11am.
  • Sports Award Presentation on Level Four, Westpoint Blacktown at 6pm.
  • on Friday 27 May Bush Poets will be at two venues - Royal Cricketers Arms Inn and Alroy Tavern, from 7.30pm - 9.30pm.

The final and highlight event of Blacktown Fiesta is the Streets Alive and Parade Day, 9am - 4pm in the Blacktown CBD.

It will feature over 300 street stalls, seven performance stages, gourmet food stalls, exciting displays and heaps of attractions including winners of 2010 Australia's Got Talent, Justice Crew and special guests Hi-5.

A vibrant parade commencing at 11am and will travel through the CBD streets. It is a spectacular display of colour and excitement with clowns, floats and marching bands.

The Blacktown Fiesta is one of the largest community celebrations in Western Sydney that involves the whole family. These free and fun events draw in amazing crowds that are full of community spirit. I encourage everyone to celebrate and join in the last few days of the Blacktown Fiesta.
