Enter the Westlink M7 Marathon
It's time for serious athletes in Western Sydney to start training for the 2010 'Westlink M7 Cities Marathon' on Sunday, July 25.
The Marathon, which is internationally accredited by the International Association of Athletics Federation, is the only one of its kind as it is totally traffic free, allowing for a smooth running event.
The 42.195 kilometre Marathon will use the Westlink M7's Shared Pathway, which runs parallel to the Westlink M7 Motorway in Sydney's west. Starting in Liverpool, the Marathon route will take runners along the pathway to a point some 30 km along when it will turn back and continue to the finish line at the Athletics Centre, Blacktown Olympic Park in Rooty Hill.

Ex•o•dus exhibition closes June 5
Are you looking for an opportunity to question concepts of departure and arrival, then hurry into Blacktown Art Centre for the Ex•o•dus exhibition.
The exhibition will be on display at Blacktown Arts Centre until Saturday, June 5 and explores the continual exposure and importance of material chosen rather than then deliberate learning of techniques.
The exhibition works are by Vicki West, Tracey Huxford, Maryann Talia Pau, Tigidankay Daramy and Lucy Simpson and provide commentaries on identity, culture, material language and our environment.
