Festival starts this Saturday
The 2010 Blacktown City Festival begins this weekend, May 22 and 23 with the popular My Lords and Ladies - Medieval Fayre at Nurragingy Reserve between 10am - 4pm.
Over the two days entry is free and Nurragingy Reserve will transform into the middle ages complete with combat display, costumes and characters - Kings, Queens, Knights and Jesters. Plus there will be colourful pavilions, jousting competitions, archery and period jewellery making.
The Blacktown City Festival has many more events taking place from May 22 - 29 and all are for free.
Highlights include; the Blacktown City Fun Runs on May 23 at Blacktown Olympic Park, Rod Quantock's Bugger the Polar Bears Comedy Show on May 26 and the Feel the Beat, Latin Oz Dance Mania Show on May 28!

We are seeking your input into our Draft Community Engagement Strategy
A Draft Community Engagement Strategy has been developed by Council to encourage and support residents to become more actively involved in Council decision making process regarding development and operation of Council polices, plans, facilities and services.
Council is currently seeking community feedback on the document as well as suggestions for additional community engagement activities that could be added to the Staff Tool Kit.
